i’m being crushed by the depths of a mountainside
subatomic anthropomorphs surround me and shrink in size
i can’t take whatever breath an atom must ingest to stay alive

suddenly i’m back to plummeting
half-eaten by a wraith
it’s discomforting to see so vividly how delightful i taste
before i have time to contemplate ceasing to exist
the nightmare begins rewinding so i can see what i missed
enough of this eternity’s perverse murder permafrost

this horrid machine is absurd
